Song is great. Very well assembled.
That was top mate, fair play, they work well together!
Well done good sir!
They go together really well, I just wish you had used some of the lyrics from 1979 as well…
Although I like the original version better, I found myself moving my feet. Very creative, and in its own way, very original. Overall, I liked it. Keep up the good work
ohhh that’s super neat. yay!
[…] across this tweet from the “official” Smashing Pumpkins Twitter account today hyping a mashup of Rick Springfield’s “Jessie’s Girl” and The Smashing Pumpkins ̶… I was skeptical. Most people think they know how to mashup but are terribly mistaken. Thankfully, […]
I remained skeptic that you could pull this off. That was AWESOME! *downloads*
You should mix more pumpkins it sounds great!
i like it!
You have done a very good job. The mashup is perfect (and wanted to get it) when I heard it on the Lazlow show.
Please mash up a billy corgan vocal!!!
I like mashups. The collision of ideas is fun and sometimes gives interesting results. But every now and then the mashup results in something that transcends the songs it’s mixing together and creates music that can stand on it’s on. This is simply beautiful! Gorgeous!
[…] Woke up and found this well-done mashup that doesn’t involve any hip-hop or dance beats behind it… a pretty impressive feat these days. I really like how these 2 go together. Via djlobsterdust.com […]
Brilliant. As someone who who was a teen/young adult in the 70s and 80s, this sounds like it might very well have played on the radio back then. Very evocative of another time…
oh my god, this is pure awsomeness all the way brother.
This sound just like a demo that Rick Springfield would have probably would have done. Cool as usual.
